Allah سبحانه و تعالى says in Surah Al Baqarah: “I respond to the call of the caller when he/she calls Me!”
And The Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم describes dua (supplicating to Allah) in a hadith as being “the essence of worship.” (Bukhari, Tirmidhi)
Thus we find it imperative upon us as Muslims to make a habit out of asking Allah for our needs. Whatever situation we may be in, we should learn to always rely on Allah first and foremost. The question then arises: how does one make dua? How does one bring the reality of dua into his/her life? How does Allah respond to one’s duas? Why does it feel like Allah is not responding to one’s duas? What happens to those duas that do not come into fruition in this world?
